www.PascoBlueberryFestival.com U-Pick BLUEBERRIES & Hydroponic
STRAWBERRIES
FRUIT PERMITTING,
U-Pick or buy them already packaged. The blueberry picking season is typically open
to the public & local wholesalers from early April to late May. Although blueberries typically begin to
ripen near the beginning of April, full bloom isn't usually until the third or fourth week.
If
you're up for a leisurely stroll through the bushes, then picking at the beginning & ending of the season will suit you
just fine, otherwise, you will always have better luck near mid-April into May.
Prices
are subject to the current u-pick market. U-Pick prices are close to half of what you will pay at your local grocer!
Our BERRIES are SAFE TO EAT straight from the
bush! We NEVER use PESTICIDES or FUNGICIDES & all fertilizers are sprayed on the root beds, not the bushes!
Our eight different
varieties of berries are sure to suit everyone's tastebuds! There are some even the size of quarters!
You get the PICK OF THE CROP from the start of every season
because WE DO NOT SELL COMMERCIALLY first!
FIELD TRIPS are always welcome! SORRY....NO FIELD TRIPS FOR THE 2012 SEASON. PLEASE CHECK BACK IN EARLY 2013. A
great learning opportunity for the children. They have tons of fun, they get to take home their pickings and share
this wonderful experience with their friends and family.
We look forward to seeing you down on the farm!

BLUEBERRY PLANTING
-
2 PLANTS are required to produce fruit (cross pollination).
-
They will only grow in PINE BARK MULCH (they like the acid). Dump the
mulch on top of the ground & plant them directly in the mulch, not in the ground.
-
Dampen them everyday, they don't like to be soaked.
-
FERTILIZE w/ azalea fertilizer.
-
PROTECT the plants during freezing temperatures.
-
They can be shaped and formed like any shrubbery.
-
They will typically produce fruit the next season.
